According to wholevehicles, Samoa is an independent nation located in the western Pacific Ocean. It consists of two main islands, Upolu and Savai’i, as well as eight small islets. The total land area is 2,831 square kilometers and there are a further six islands that are part of the Samoan archipelago. Samoa is renowned for its natural beauty and diverse landscape, featuring everything from lush rainforests to beautiful white sand beaches. The population of Samoa is estimated at around 200,000 people, with the majority living on Upolu. Samoan is the official language although English and other Polynesian languages are also spoken by some people on the islands. Christianity is the main religion practiced in Samoa, with approximately 98% of the population identifying as Christian. Higher education in Samoa consists of both public and private universities and colleges that offer courses ranging from medicine to engineering to business management. The National University of Samoa (NUS) has two campuses located in Apia (the capital) and Savai’i which offer degrees in a variety of disciplines including science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM), agriculture, business administration and social sciences. Other institutions include Pacific Adventist University which focuses on theology; Oceania University which provides nursing training; as well as many other private schools offering vocational training programs such as hospitality management or automotive repair.
