It is bordered by the Mediterranean Sea to the north, the Atlantic Ocean to the west, Algeria and Western Sahara to the east and south, respectively. Morocco has a population of over 35 million people and its capital and largest city is Rabat. The terrain of Morocco consists mainly of mountains in the north and center, while rolling plains are found in the south. The country also has several rivers such as Oued Moulouya, Sebou, Tensift and Draa. Education in Morocco is free and compulsory for children between ages 6-15. Primary education lasts six years followed by three years of secondary education which includes both academic and vocational tracks. After completing secondary school students may choose to attend university or pursue vocational training. Higher education in Morocco consists of public universities which offer degree programs such as bachelor’s degrees master’s degrees doctoral degrees etc. , while private universities typically offer courses in fields such as business administration engineering law medicine etc.. Additionally there are technical schools that provide training in technical skills such as carpentry plumbing mechanics etc. , as well as language schools providing courses in English French German Russian Italian Spanish among others. The government provides financial support for students pursuing higher education through grants, scholarships, loans and tax incentives while non-formal educational opportunities are also available aimed at providing citizens with skills necessary to succeed both domestically and abroad such as entrepreneurship training programs or computer literacy courses.
