Mechanism: sildenafil mesylate, same as sildenafil is an inhibitor
of type 5 -cGMP phosphodiesterase relaxing and smoothing muscle cells
of the corpus cavernosum which leads to penile erection. This relaxation
may be mediated by nitric oxide via cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP).
