Company Profile: Sokasam Investment Limited was formed by the Wassa Co-operative Miners Association, made up of all the small-scale miners in Wassa East and Wassa West, we decided to come together to form a union so as to compete with the foreign mining companies who has taken over the mining sector due to government reforms and policies that has benefited the transnational mining giants and these reforms has led to an increase in the number of foreign mining companies in Ghana. We sell gold dust , bars and nuggets to individual and corporate buyers worldwide. Sokasam Investment Limited was established in 2007, to represent the Wassa Co-operative Miners Association. Wassa Co-operative Miners Association is made up of 157 small-scale Miners in Wassa who decided to come together and form a union so as to harness resources and increase the income of the small-scale miners and also compete with the large mining giants that has taken over the mining sector in Ghana, due to favorable reforms of the mining code. Wassa Co-operative Miners Association is a community based organization that employs mechanized extraction and mining methods and gold washing is done by the women.
